Le
Guide Hachette des Vins 2003 has selected :
-
CHÂTEAU DE MAUPAGUE
ROUGE 2000
Located at the foot of the Sainte Victoire Mountain,
the Château de Maupague dominates the plain of Trets. The name Maupague
signifying « giving little » is a reference to it’s low grape yield.First
discreet, this red wine has a nose of red fruit which evolves towards a palet of
spices and a touch of oak due to it’s ageing in an oak foudres for a year. The
tanins are plenty yet the balance remains perfect.
Can be cellared for up to 3
year.

DE MAUPAGUE Rosé 1998 A.O.C. Côtes de Provence It
is here, at the foot of the Sainte Victoire Mountain, where you'll
find this estate whose name means "giving little". In the
culture of vines small yields make grand wine. This rosé is to be
enjoyed with a meal, fish or poultry for example. This dry wine is
supple, fruity and well structured with a harmonious and round finish.
From the same producer, the Château Coussin Sainte Victoire received
the same score. DOMAINES
