Amongst the several estates of the Sumeire family vineyards, Château Cousin Sainte Victoire is our favorite. This wine is a veritable red Provencal wine, powerful, generous and aromatic.
The César Cuvée is accomplished and can easily age over 15 years. The Cuvée Ref CS is of a more modern style.

The Sumeire family, one of the most captivating dynasties of vintners in Provence, is equally one of the more talentuous ! This cuvee is a blend of syrah, mourvèdre and Grenache aged in new French oak barrels. Aromatic and complex with notes of spices, vanilla, truffles and leather. Rich in tannins and volume, this wine with an aging potential of 15 years is to be religiously kept for special occasions.

"Château Coussin Sainte Victoire" Rosé 1998 has won the 1^st prize

Further to a blind tasting organized by " Vins et Gastronomie " magazine, with the participation of the Côte d’Azur highest palaces sommeliers, the Château Coussin Sainte Victoire rosé 1998 has obtained the 1^st prize.

Mr Gabriel Sumeire has received this award during a gala dinner organized at the " Noga Hilton " prestigious palace of " la Croisette " in Cannes, on Sunday the 20^th of June.

In 1998, Château Coussin Sainte Victoire red has started to be sold in the famous Fauchon store, Paris. Today, its second wine, named " La Croix du Prieur " is distributed by Fauchon not only in Paris, but also in France and all over the world.
